Notes

• As teams' reporting standards are even more imprecise than during the regular season, this summary is only intended to be a best indication of which players were unavailable due to injury/illness (or suspension - marked by the striped pattern) rather than being healthy scratched
• Injury absence data I have used comes from the player profile pages on sportsforecaster.com as well as various contemporaneous media reports
• Figures generally exclude injured minor league players (at my subjective discretion) who could've been expected to be on an expanded playoff roster
• Illnesses are included, but healthy scratches and absences due to “personal reasons” are excluded
• Games missed by players still under contract but either officially “retired” or out indefinitely with no prospect of a return (Sheldon Souray, Marc Savard, Mattias Öhlund, Brian Lee, Chris Pronger, Tomáš Vokoun) are excluded
